Mount Waddington Regional Hospital District
Health care in the region is the responsibility of the Island Health Authority.
The Mount Waddington Regional Hospital District (MWRHD) shares the same jurisdiction, Board and Administration as the Regional District of Mount Waddington.
Capital funding is cost-shared with the province. Island Health is responsible for the delivery of health care services on Vancouver Island.
The MWRHD has adopted its 2024 budget which includes a tax requisition of $812,900. To view the MWRHD 2024 budget, please visit: rdmw.bc.ca/regional-services/finance
The Mount Waddington Regional Hospital District provides funding to the health authority hospitals and equipment.
On your annual property tax notice, this charge appears under the line titled “Regional Hospital District.”
